Companies (organizations) represent the businesses your contacts belong to. CommuLand automatically creates and links companies during AI extraction.
Company Fields
Name
The company or organization name.
Industry
Business industry classification.
Website
Company website URL (auto-normalized).
Phone
Company phone number.
Address
Business address.
Country
Country code (e.g., HK, US, CN).
Auto-Creation from Contacts
When a contact is created (via guided upload, batch upload, or Telegram), CommuLand automatically:
- Checks if a company with the same name already exists in your organization.
- If found, links the contact to the existing company.
- If not found, creates a new company record using data extracted from the business card (name, industry, website, phone, address, country).
- Performs fuzzy matching to detect potential duplicate companies.
Merge Duplicates
Similar to contacts, companies can be flagged as potential duplicates. CommuLand uses fuzzy name matching (first 3 words of the company name) to detect near-duplicates.
Navigate to the merge page to review and merge duplicate companies. When companies are merged, all linked contacts are automatically re-linked to the surviving record.
